DIRECTOR BIO

Frank + Habib are philosophers, commercial directors, and aspiring cosmonauts. The duo photographed their way through childhood— a mishmash of playdough sculptures and Asian landscapes with thoughtful attention to color and contrast— and stumbled upon Forest Gump when they came of age. The transition to moving images was swift and painless as they honed their visual craft by writing, directing, editing, and then tossing the result in a dumpster before trying again. Frank decided to shoot films and photograph for Marie Claire, Vogue, and Interview Magazine. Habib drummed in bands and made music videos so his friends could land record deals at places like Merge Records. They were pioneers when they directed the first creative broadcast spots for Queen of the Night, Soccer.com, and Lowes Foods, and continued as leaders when they treaded onto the beaten path for Converse, Longchamp, Microsoft, Norwegian Airlines, National Geographic, Tampax, and Tylenol. Their simple cinematic aesthetic, deep emotional sensitivity, and musical sense of rhythm adds up for rather impressionable storytelling and lots of great press.
