DIRECTOR BIO

Fredy Garza discovered his love for photography and storytelling while living and traveling in Asia by the age of 18. By the time he was 23, he had studied communications in Mexico and filmmaking in the Film and Television School in Maine and had become a director with Garcia-Bross, a major production house in Mexico. More recently, Fredy founded Home Films in Mexico City. Fredy has won awards at FIAP, Creative Circle almost every year in different categories, London in 2004, the Grand Prix EFFIE in 2011 in Mexico ,and has been finalist in Cannes on two occasions. In 2010 he was named as one of the best directors in Mexico at El Ojo de Iberoamerica.

His background as a cinematographer has given him an excellent feel for Beauty and Fashion and he enjoys shooting narrative stories, cars, humor, celebrities and unique techniques with VFX. His spirit of adventure has taken him to travel the world, working in numerous places throughout Europe, South America, the USA and Canada. Fredy has directed for Aeroméxico, Apple, Banco de Mexico, Chevrolet, Coppel, Degree, GoDaddy, Hyundai, L’Oreal, Nestea, Pantene, Quaker, Samsung, Star Oil, Telcel, and others.
